We had an electrician take a vintage American Standard Unit A/C-Heater (air-conditioner model #237-HSD/heater model #710C ) out of a storage area in our building and it still worked. Its probably been there over 40 years.  He said it was "sweet" and it may be resellable but could not direct me to who I need to contact.  Does anyone know what it is worth and who would be a buyer?

I doubt it is energy efficient and would be difficult to sell except to someone who can't afford a newer unit. Plus it uses the restricted old refrigerant that is cost prohibitive if it ever needed service.

I agree with frogpatch but you might check with restorers in your area !! Might be good for parts to repair one already in use !!
