I. D. marking on old platter.
« on: April 08, 2012, 02:12:34 pm »
I found the mark below on an old platter we found in a storage building on the property we bought several years ago.  Using a link provided by one of our members several weeks ago I found on the Kovel site the explanation that the piece was made by the Kristin Porcelain Manufactory, Silesia, Germany.  Not being a member of the Kovel site, the explanation ended there.  Taking it a step further on other sites I found that Kristin normally used KPM as their marking and I could find nothing further on the marking below.

Has anyone a clue as to the years that Kristin used the mark below?  Thanks

Thanks very much.  Looks like Kovel was all wet on this one.  With the idea that this may be from the '20s mean that the numbers printed below the mark could indicate that it was made in April of 1925?
