when conversing with any computer” ….. pretty much dates it to after 1996 or even 2000 ….. when “voice messaging” and/or computer automated “answering” started replacing telephone receptionists sitting at big switchboards.
Reminds me of that E-mail that was once circulating that contained a "clickable" Internet 'url' address ..... and if you clicked it all you got was a message stating something similar to:
You have reached the end of the Internet.
There is no more. You will have to go back.
