Occupied Japan Figurines
« on: April 19, 2012, 05:42:04 am »
Occupied Japan items were all the rage in the 1970s. I have quite a few figurines and would like to know how the market is now for Japanese ceramics made from 1945 - 52. Any ballpark value on the items I have (see photo)?

I can only speak from what I have seen locally and it is no where near 70`s or 80`s values.  Easiest way to check market values on most items is to look on ebay and use your sort by list !!  Click on "ending soonest" to see what ending sale prices are !!  Will give you a pretty good idea if anyone is buying them or are they ending without bids at all !!  Just pick the ones that are similar in style to yours !!

Good advice Mart!

They still sell. I've sold a few dozen over the years myself. Rarely for more than $10-$20 each though. And I've donated a lot of unsold ones to thrift stores as well.
Take every price I say with a grain of salt...
