This also form my friend. When she purchased the lamp she was told it was fifty years old. Has most of the crystals. She would like to sell this too. What do you think?

I guess my friend's husband was right, lol. He told her the lamp was trash.

You are right. It is about fifty years old. Not really trash. Just not that desirable. It was not an expensive lamp. Typical in an early american room with those maple chairs with plaid upholstery. They were common in colonial diners in the 50s and 60s also. At least where I grew up. The painted red shade and the separated wire is a clue. Newer ones had a double wire in gold plastic running up one chain. This piece appears to have the hot and common separate with cloth insulation.
