Vintage Ceramic Hand Made Compote or Bowl from Italy?
« on: May 19, 2012, 09:23:06 pm »
I purchased this vintage compote or bowl today from a lady at a flea market and am trying to find out the vintage (I think perhaps Mid-Century), who made it and a value if anyone wants to make a suggestion?

The compote was really super dirty when I got it and I ran it under warm water and gently cleaned it with a wet sponge. Still needs more cleaning though.

It seems to be in excellent condition and is about 5 1/2 inches in height, 9 1/4 inches in width on the top and about a 4 inch wide base.

Thanks!

Kevin

I would guess maybe 60`s or 70`s !! Quite a few scratches in the finish !! Not much way to know the maker except by style and that would be a needle in a haystack search !! Value,, maybe $10. !!
