Antique Miter Saw
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:56:18 pm »
My husband grabbed a few things for me today. This miter saw was one of the items. I going to check it out now. I get so excited. He lost the directions. He loves this. He's putting it in his antique tool collection.

He had a piece of paper with patent date. It must have blown out of the box. Hopefully he'll find it tomorrow. He's bringing home a sewing machine and two chairs. We are trying to do this slowly. The one house is almost a shell. It's dangerous. The tiny little house never had running water. It's been empty for a very long time. My husband said they were built 1810 - 1820s. It's hard to believe in a large metropolitan city. Some of the furniture is on the 3rd floor. What era did they button on collars?

I'm guessing that the detachable "collar and cuff" era was coming to an end shortly after WWI. Pretty novel idea to only have to change the part of your shirt that got dirty. (Apparently, eating fast food on the go hadn't became that popular yet. :D)
