Old Glass
« on: August 15, 2012, 10:05:21 pm »
My grandmother left these to me and I think they look cool I just don't know if they are anything special or have any value to them. If anyone knows anything about them I would really appreciate knowing something.

I've been doing a lot of work with similar glass piece lately, and I'm finding out that I don't know squat about glass. They look mid century, but they could be three weeks old for all I know. Are there any marks, names, insignia on it?
Take every price I say with a grain of salt...

Fenrir390  These are beautiful!! def not 3 weeks old   :D   The key will be in the shape of the stem, foot & bowl of your piece, Honestly glass is really difficult to track but it can be done, I will pull some books on some hunches I have and Fenrir you could go to this site http://www.replacements.com/index.htm?s1=ij&912&  type crystal wine glasses in the search field and begin going through their inventory (antique & new) page by page to find a match, Not an easy task and I would do a little each night because they have 8,390 matching documents Tons of glass to look at but this is how it's done when you have no clues as to maker. Your Grandmother had wonderful taste!!

circa early 1930s value about $10.00 per glass.
