Pools of Light
« on: August 21, 2012, 03:09:52 pm »
Can anyone give me information on pools of light, I have always loved them and ran across this in a box of glass! They are round , not drilled, and everything is upsidedown when viewed through. Could these be pools of light??

Everythings only upside down when viewed from a distance...but when you hold them close everything is the right way up....its the same with a magnifying glass...as for being pools of light...well i suppose they are in daylight.....
and no more cats...i,ve exhausted my supply....LOL!.
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,

After more research I have decided mine are not pools of light (darn)  Here is the exact necklace I would love to have!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-pools-of-light-rock-crystal-art-deco-necklace-/271036354669?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1b06906d

Mart they are orbs of  rock crystal Only purchase undrilled pieces what I have discovered is as bigwull said "Everythings only upside down when viewed from a distance" but with pools of light you can lay the orb directly on news print & it will still be backwards. They glow unreal when light hits them and I have been admiring them for years!!!!

Is each individual stone mounted ?? What are those dark spots on the edges ?? Reflections ??

Each stone is wrapped in  a sterling band stamped flat with a flower design, That's why it looks like dark spots on the edges the bandsurrounding each orb. If drilled through center to connect them (which some are) do not buy them as they can not reflect the light so brilliantly!!!
