Two Vintage Sterling Silver Rings?
« on: September 07, 2012, 09:00:24 am »
I purchased these 2 Sterling Silver (925) rings yesterday and was trying to find the vintage of the first one and the maker and vintage of the second one.

The first one is a JDC (Janice Girardi) ring and I think it's vintage perhaps 1970's but I don't know. Does anyone know this designer and what the vintage of the ring might be?

The second rings eludes me, it has what looks like a heart with a curved line in it's makers mark. Can anyone identify this makers mark and the vintage of this ring?

Thanks for any help!
Kevin

Janice Geradi is still making jewerly. She started making jewerly in 1970. Here's a paragraph on her.

Thanks greenacres! Looks like Janice has been around for awhile and up and about throughout the world. This ring looks like it may be one of her earlier works so perhaps it could be vintage 1970's.

That's for sure wullie, they've already been tested and marked 925... makes it easier that way, now if I can only find out what maker has a heart with a curled line in their makers mark.

925 silver is basically the top of the workable silver scale..being 92.5% pure silver with the other % being a mix of copper, zinc, and germanium,
