OK so here is where my camera was screaming at me to charge it, all tho i did get a pic of it.  I had a choice between this one and one that had a dome or hump shape to it. That one was in better condition and didn't have the insert to it. This one however did have the insert and the latches still work. I wish i could of taken a pic of the top, and i may add them, but someone painted on it, other than that it has an overall aging to it.... i would love to know if would be OK to redo it, or restore it? The inside is in great shape, a little chipping of the paper liner but the box insert is wonderful shape. It has two compartments. One smaller than the other.  Still with the leather handles, and leather pull tab like flap with a button on the insert. The button reads "Polly".

There a similar post below explaining whether to restore or not. You should read. If you hit on search and put in antique trunk you will get a lot of results. I know I posted one a long time ago. You'll find some great sites about restoration too!

First of all, listen to Green Acres. That will get you on the right road.

A friend restored an 1890s humpback or camelback trunk or ours that had been painted "antiqued" gold in the 1960s. It looked horrible. He stripped it, painted most of it black, restored the wood straps, and painted the locking hardward gold. This is a coomon look that I've seen for restored trunks, and I think it's historically accurate, or at least close. It looks unbelievably good, and I think your trunk would benefit from such a treatment.

Its a pretty common style !! Looks like the main latch on front has been broken off !!  Not too bad condition and no huge value in these !! I would say go for it !!
