The only time I had trouble was trying to get a hotel reservation without one last year. I gambled that when I showed up they would rather rent a room for cash than have a vacancy. I was correct. I also have to pay higher insurance premiums without one, but it actually may be cheaper in the long run. My parent's never had a credit card either, but it seemed much less important 40-50 year ago. There's just something creepy to me about "credit". Another thing that scares me is everyone going "paperless". I like to have a bill or invoice in my hand, after all, who knows how much longer I will have a computer to receive these electronic bills.

A debit card can,t give you credit...its only your own money that fuels it..over here, i pay all of our bill via direct debit...as it saves money....a paper copy sent via post costs extra...doing it via direct debit, saves 2%.per month on each individual amenities bill,..a debit card linked to ebay...is,nt linked to your bank account...
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,
