Hi this is my first post and was just wondering value and maybe some more history about this i picked up a 12' bar at auction that was in a speak easy during prohibition it belonged to the owner of the rochester brewing co. (old topper ale) and the company shut down due to prohibition and reopened afterwords it has an old topper period bottle opener and the wood is period as well. does anyone know where i can get it appraised and/or the value of an item like this?

thank you in advance

First thing I would have to establish is if you have proof other then hear say on the history of the item.  If not you will have to go by Age, Construction Quaility, and Uniqueness of the item.  Overall These items can be a hard sale.  Not many Bar collectors, these Item are usually purchased for use based on the buyers taste.  At the Auction house I seen a few bars go for pretty cheap, Much like Antique Sewing Machines and the forgotten Piano.  Some really good pics of the item including hardware and detail wood shots will be required to get a base price to start.
