hi all,what silver is mean this mark (in the pic) is this silver 925 ?

I have a feeling this may be silver plate.the lion is an English mark, Birmingham to be exact... and the L corresponds to 1985.which is the mark for plate,

This is a Birmingham silver mark, .925....here,s another mark...to show you a comparison..its not mid 1800,s as i first thought...its Birmingham 1957..Charles S. Green ..GSG over Co,...i,ll have to amend this date....its actually 1953...see link to date chart..scroll down on right side to 1953 which corresponds to the letter D..this was a very important date, as it was when Queen Lizzie got crowned...
