old porcelain leaf
« on: February 28, 2013, 08:12:59 pm »
along with my ugly vase, I picked up this pretty little leaf, it is very light and tho it truly looks old/old vintage it has no real marking, is this a design/maker anyone can identify/  There is the slightest mark on the back, if I had to guess it would be a "m" but thats a true guess....

thanks all

Looks like fairly generic mid 20th porcelain to me.

Perhaps,, but can you think of anything else that it would have sat on a coffee table for during that era ??  Women wanted pretty things,, even for that !!  That was back when the Coffee Klatch and smoking was the in thing and neighbors actually associated with each other !!  Was nothing unusual to call the ladies on the block (most of which were stay at home housewives and mothers) and meet at one house for coffee !!  Catch up on the gossip !!  Very different era back then !!
