Corn Cob Mug
« on: April 24, 2013, 04:44:11 pm »
Family lore has it that this mug has been in the family a very long time. My late grandmother said it may be a couple hundred years old at that.

Does anyone know anything about this mug?

Thanks!

J.W. McCoy / Brush-McCoy Pottery introduced their "Corn Line" around 1908-10.

Well, it's not 200 years old, but 100 isn't bad! ;)

The ebay one isn't of the same quality. In fact the one on Ebay looks like a cheap copy. The definition is poor and that base ?!

Brew's looks better and older. A few companies did majolica sweetcorn mugs and pitchers.
