Vintage Old Chinese Jade Bead Necklace?
« on: May 06, 2013, 06:44:57 am »
This is an old bead necklace I recently purchased and was trying to determine if it is was jade and what it's origin is.

The necklace is about 18 Inches in length, the large brass or bronze engraved bead is about 5/8 of an inch or 18 mm wide, the largest light green bead is about 15mm wide and the necklace weighs about 50 Grams.

I think this is a vintage, possible mid-century or early 1900's Chinese necklace and the light beads are Jade and the darker green beads are Turquoise but I not sure. It has a barrel clasp and I think the string is silk or linen.

Would anyone know from the images if this is a jade, turquoise and bronze or brass engraved bead necklace and from china.

Thanks,
Kevin
