End-of-Day Glass
« on: June 09, 2013, 10:46:02 am »
A man stopped at one of my recent sales and asked if I had "end-of-day" glass. I didn't have any out for sale, but went to the china cupboard and brought out what I thought would interest him. However, he said these weren't what he wanted - then he came clean and said he wanted really old pieces. I really would like people that ask for specialty items to be more upfront about what they want. They have you jumping through hoops, then complain that what you bring out really isn't what they are looking for. What do you think about these items?

Now the 2nd one, ... highly probably, ...... the 3rd one .... a maybe, ........ but the 1st and 4th ones .... defnitely not.

AND PS, ...... never leave your garage sale unattended.

I like all of those and I am not even a glass person !!
Maybe you should ask "what exactly are you looking for ??"  And be sure to price your items above what you think they will bring because they will try to get the lowest price possible !! But just say no if their offer is out of your accepted price !!  Once someone starts putting my stuff down,, and they will,,I just turn and take it back in the house or walk away !!  Sometimes that changes their attitude right quick !!
