Help me find a similar piece
« on: August 22, 2013, 11:13:51 am »
Hello every one i was at a garage sale this weekend and there was a Roll top Filing cabinet. I have never seen one before and i was amazed, but to my dismay the man that arrived 3  seconds earlier bought it for 30 dollars. I immediately offered 120 and the man refused. I have been scouring the interwebs for about 2 months now and i cant find anything like it.

A quick Google image search brought up many possibilities. Can you give us more idea about the one you saw? Was it wood or metal? Dimensions? Style etc.?
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

The trouble is that not everyone posts their inventory on the internet. You may have to visit with an antique furniture dealer that travels on buying trips and explain what you are looking for. It's unlikely that just one example was made...someplace there's another one to be had.

Personally, I like this one: 8) http://www.brasslanternantiques.com/dentaloak4.htm
