Help with Glass Identification
« on: September 02, 2013, 01:01:43 pm »
I purchased the contents on an old garage at an estate sale. I walked through earlier in the day and saw tons on Anchor Hocking glassware, lots of older Libby and a few other nice items. To my surprise at the end of the auction they just sold the contents instead of going through and selling piece by piece. I got the whole thing for 40 bucks. I have verified almost everything of value pulled from the garage but these glasses have me stumped. I have searched through Google, Ebay and just to be sure I even checked Yahoo to see if the search results were any different from Google. I found some etched wheat patterns that went around the glass but none that matched this pattern that run vertically. There are no marks on the glasses other than the pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated I have added a few pics but I can always add more if needed.

Originally I thought the small ones were juice glasses but they look more like the larger shot glasses !! Perhaps these were part of a bar set !! I have not seen that pattern on kitchenware !! Barware often had designs that were different from the norm !!

That looks like a fern leaf pattern to me.

Ps: a Christmas fern leaf.

I was first thinking of a styalised wheat pattern (wheat liquor), but then it also reminded me of chick pea leaves, it's certainly some sort of pinnate leaf.

I have a glass liquor dispenser with 6 shot glasses, which has a similar leaf pattern. I've never been able to find very much info on it but I have found lots of similar ones with that same long leaf on them. I think they are the same company but throughout different years.
