Help with Ceramic Dish from National Museum of the Phillipines

I'm thinking it might be the a peony head.

its got 7 petals...from what i see

If you google Yaozhou peony bowl or dish. Or Song Dynasty celadon peony dish

you'll see what i mean.

No , but on the first picture, you can see the chip on one side and the other part has kind of bubbled out and become porous.

That's typical of some early pottery types !!

Definitely appears to be a very old piece of pottery and was wonderfully made.

Are you where you can get a hands-on inspection evaluation from a museum?  appraiser?

Yes, I am aware of what a sand dollar looks like, and that is what it resembles-- though it is not a photo-realistic representation of a sand dollar.

I was going to ask if it was a lotus flower. To me it looks like a flower. Was it sold by the museum? Maybe you should contact the museum.
