Martin king wood stove/ fireplace insert
« on: December 03, 2013, 08:49:10 pm »
Ok so I'll try to make this short but give as much info as I have. I've been researching this stove for weeks. The info on the back is Martin king 98-1830. Best I can come up with is it was made early 1900's and then the Martin king went to just king. From there this stove is a king franklin model 98. The stove appears to have never been used and is in am macular condition despite the pictures. This has been in my basement since I've lived here. I was looking to try and hook it up but was unable to come up with the flue so my search began. I am now looking to sell it but have no idea of a value. I can't even find this on the old inter web. Closest I can get are the Martin franklin model which is not the same as far as age wise. Can anyone help me with this and maybe point me in a direction to go?
Thanks in advance

I think this is what you need to make that connection.

But you should first measure the flue opening on your stove and then contact them to see if it will fit.

It's a Martin king model 98-1830. The only stove I saw that appears to be the same is a king franklin stove model 98. I think this stove was made before Martin king split, but can't find any info on it
