Back in the 50`s and 60`s I lived in a small community outside of Dallas !!  Maybe 1500 people,, wasn`t very big but we had a recording studio !! Many of my friends and acquaintances made demo records !! As long as you had the money and your own music,,no problem !! I think they had a set rate for using the studio equipment and you bought the recording time !! Perhaps that why the time is recorded,, to remember when the session started or ended !!

LOL !! Nope !!  This one was between a Barber shop and Five and Dime store !!  Label was Vandan records !! One of my friends Dad had a small C&W group and they made a few records !! Still have it somewhere !!  But they didn`t make the Big Time !!!

They still have studios like this today...just not as common and not as cheap Mart!

But back in the day it was a big thing to go have one cut!!!
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
