help for copper trivet

Hi All,
I picked up this copper on ebonized wood trivet today.  Anyone recognize this work?  The initials are either AP or AD.  About 6" or 15cm in diameter.  It seems so familiar but I can't place it.  Had an old paper label on the reverse at one time, mostly gone now.  Thanks! GG

I'm sorry you can't get the pics to load Mart, they show up fine for me.  I did check that site & wasn't able to locate the Monogram.  I've also checked a number of my reference books.  I just thought maybe someone might recognize the style.  GG

I've associated these with the Arts and Crafts movement, probably made in industrial arts classes and as parlor art at home. I think(?) Newcomb College even offered instruction in the craft of tooled sheet brass.

When I was in Girl Scouts back in the dark ages we learned how to etch copper sheet !!

I should point out that it is cast, not etched & with remnants of a paper label on the reverse, I don't think it was made at home or school.  I also don't think it's American, it looks very English Arts & Crafts.  It's very hard to photograph, but I will take it outside today & see if I can get better photos.  The casting is very crisp.  Very much "Newlyn" but unmarked.  Thanks everyone for weighing in.  GG

i was about to say that it had,nt been etched.the markings are too precise,what is the weight of it,and the thickness at the top edge...

So here's some better photos of the trivet or?  Wullie, the weight of it is negligible, 225g, hard to measure the depth of the copper plate as it is quite thin & attached to the wood.

This has not been cast....its way too thin....its more likely to have been stamped...or pressed....

with it being stamped.....it means there should be thousands, if not hundreds of them out there,...
