Anyone seen one of these before? Japanese Fluttering Bird
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:06:02 am »
Ahoy there,

Has anyone seen one of these fluttering around? Brought it back from a flea market in Oregon and was hoping to track down some info on it. It was made in Japan, that's all I've been able to gather.

Cheers!

I have seen these over the years.  They were from after WWII.   Great amusement and tourist items. Most were imports. It is getting more unusual to have them with the feathers still intact and not falling apart (that is if they have been used they will wear out and if not they look intact. Most likely will fall apart due to age/deterioration of the feathers)
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
