Unknown Antique Stand ~ Maybe someone can help???
« on: February 05, 2014, 08:38:34 am »
Please help if you can. This is a very old stand of some sort. All wood with a tapestry bottom. Metal wheels underneath and stands around 4 foot tall. Pictures are attached. Any ideas???

Looks like a bedpost at some point in it's life.

Looks like a homemade "repurposed items" kneeling bench (looks as if the bottom part is padded) and the top most likely had a book platform at one time!

Is the piece on the ground attached?  When I look at this again...could be a newel post made into an embroidery stand?!
