We're wondering if anyone can shed some light on the cabinet shown in the photos below...

Any help/background info/value opinions would be greatly appreciated.

From our understanding, it seems to have originated in Europe...thanks.

Looks German / Bavarian. 20th century. Strange heraldic interior ! The eagle within the shield on the far right looks like the Brandenburg coat of arms

Thanks for your reply to this piece as well.

You're right about the eagle within the shield on the far right resembling the Brandenburg coat of arms (which I just referenced online for myself).

Very crudely carved. Looks like it was done by machine and applied. The finish is very commercial also. Great place to hide your liquor. I would agree with Ipcress.

The amber colored glass?  backing on the doors screams 70's.

Funny, that is what I was thinking Icedgold10....  But I think I was so "od'd" on it from the 70's I sometimes fail to look further back to earlier times!  :)

I agree that it isn't a real old piece. Looks machined like stated earlier..and then a wonderful combination of mediums and workmanship.  As Artie Johnson would have said....Very Interesting.....

Amber textured glass was used a lot in the 70`s Spanish Revival and Mediterranean furniture !!
