Do you think this is Silver?

I picked up this silver jug, and I'm not sure if it's Silver, or just metal, there are no markings telling me it's Silver or Silver plated just the following markings:

WH & SBP
HARD SOLDERED
RP483231




Any ideas what these markings mean??

the marking is the same as the first one without the "A1"

If I am correct the A1 means that it is high grade of electroplating. If yours is missing the A1 marks it points normal silver plating. A silver item always has silver marks. If it is silver then it doesn't make sense that this company didn't bothered to hammer the silver marks with the other marks. I think William Hutton also only made silver plate objects. I a not a expert so I will need somebody else on the forum to confirm this.. but still a very nice piece.

William Hutton & Sons did plated silver,, not sure if he did any sterling !! The BP means Brittania Plate which is a very thin electroplate !!
