Metal Masters Dining Set
« on: June 25, 2012, 12:32:03 pm »
I picked up a metal masters mfg table with 6 chairs and 4 leafs. All are in awesome condition but I cannot find anything on;ine about them. Does anyone know anything about this company or their product? They seem to be from the 1970s.

I have searched the web and found that there was a Metal Masters that made retro dinette sets from chrome and Formica in the 50s and 60s They seem to have been in the Detroit area. I think your set is a little later 60s set. I find nothing from the 70s or later about them. I am surprised how little info is out there. I am going to try Images and see what comes up

Thank you for the info so far. The table is Formica as well as the chair legs. The print on the chairs is floral. It is crazy how little information is out there even antique dealers here in my hometown know nothing about it.

Thanks :) I seen it and said I wasn't leaving without it. The bottom of the chairs have the name on them and different branches of the company. I thought it looked like ante 60s set :) but it is definitely one I'm glad I stumbled upon.

Different styles in mid century modern are staying particularly active !!  Retro is the "in" thing !!

My family produced Metal Masters dinettes and boothes from the 1940s through 1991 we had locations in East Detroit, Dearborn, Sterling Heights, Royal Oak, Flint, Redford and Rochester. All were made by hand and will last forever if you take care of them.
