I purchased this Brass or Bronze Statue Lamp at the TS yesterday and searched all over the network for one like it without success.
I think it's from the late 1800's, made of Brass, weighs a little over 14 pounds and is about 16 inches in height.
The person looks like Jesus to me but he's holding a hammer in 1 hand and a chisel in the other hand.
The statue is missing the base and there is a metal clasp or hook screwed in but broken on the upper back side of the statue which probably held the tubing of the lamp assembly. There are no maker marks or ID on the statue, they were most likely on the base if there was any at one time.
Does anyone know who this statue is suppose to be, who may have made it, when and where it may have been made?
Thanks!
Kevin
