Homco 14" old couple
« on: April 17, 2014, 09:20:19 am »
I've never been into antiques, but I'm in need of some help. We are purchasing a gift for my mother in law for mother's day. She has the entire Homco old couple collection except for the 14" one. I believe it is the tallest ever made, and it was the first ever made. I found the couple and are going to purchase them but I see that the numbers on the man(#8744) do not match that of the woman's(#8116). And there are another couple for sale on Ebay that have the same numbers on them(#8816) and say they are the 14" couple. I'm just wondering how many different set's of the 14" couple were made. Or if it's just the one set. It's a lot of money to spend, and I just want to make sure the seller is being genuine.

These are not antique, but you may want to look at the book available at Amazon.  Looks like there were many different versions made.  No one would bother to fake something of this value, so I think the sellers are being genuine.  GG

How they were numbered would depend on if they were sold as a set or individual figurines I think !! Check several different sets on ebay and other sites !! If they all are numbered like the set you are looking at,,then you are OK !!  Isn`t Homco part of the Home Interior line ??
