Help in identifying antique chair

Hello everyone, I'm very new to this and have pretty much zero knowledge of antiques. I have a picture of a chair and would like some more info on it (please ignore the fabric it is covered in). Is there a particular name for this specific type of chair? When was the most likely period it was made in? Any knowledge on the designer/manufacturer? Absolutely any help that could point me in the right direction would be appreciated as I would like to acquire some.

Can we get some closer pics of the legs, back crest, arms ect ?? Looks like an independent design,,not one I have seen before !!  Did you look closely for a name or stamp ?? Underneath,,inside of legs ?? Does it look like it has been reupholstered,, if you can tell ?? Wild fabric,,certainly colorful !! I remember when that zig zag pattern was popular,,late 60`s into 70`s !!

Love the design. Like a Hepplewhite tub chair with slatted sides.

It is some stylized form of a tub chair. Very unique and attractive. It would not surprise me if it had a notable designer attached to it. The fabric works well with the design. Gives it a sort of a contemporary Southwest look.

I would leave it as is !!  If that's original upholstery it adds to value !!

I agree with Mart. Upholstery costs a lot of money also.
