Solid wood armoire
« on: July 02, 2014, 04:08:40 pm »

Hey folks, I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea who made this or maybe how much it would be worth? I can't seem to find much information on it from hours of Googling and I can't seem to find a maker's mark on any of the drawers of inside of the armoire, and it's too heavy to turn on it's side to look on the bottom.

I think it'd probably date back to the 50-60s, since my mother's brother remembers it from his childhood and he was born in '61. Does anyone have a clue? I'd greatly appreciate any leads.

It has shelves in the top part doesn`t it ??  Its from the 60`s but these were made well into the 70`s !! I have a similar one in my bedroom !! These were made by many furniture companies !! No real way to tell which one !! Furniture is rarely marked except with a style number on the back,, and that only helps the company that made it !!  Value is very little for these !! They are not wanted by many !! Maybe $100. !!  Sorry !! Consider maybe repurposing it,, a bar would be nice !!

Thank you for the quick response! Yes, it does have two shelves in the top portion of it, and nice to know how much it's worth since we're trying to sell it ; bugger is far too heavy to bother with moving to our new apartment.

But once again thank you, I appreciate it since I really couldn't find anything about it anywhere.

Looks exactly like one my folks have that also matches a bedroom dresser, night stands and headboards.

They came from a company called Leeds Furniture (remember those places Mart?).
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
