I am completely on board here. 1870-1880 Renaissance Revival drop front secretary with wainscot back. Original hardware is a big plus. What is going on with the front feet? I can't see clearly but it looks like something may be missing there. It looks like a black walnut case. I like it "as is" for around 300-500. That is if there in no damage that I can't see, like wood loss of the feet.

Yeah, in what appears to be original tear drop pulls ( a william & mary type pull) are the best thing this desk has going for it. The down side is the condition and the fact that victorian furniture is not in fashion these days. Still, OP says the glass front not in pic is still there which is another plus, add in some clean up, a new finish of shellac or satin lacquer which can be purchased in a spray can at hardware store and BAM! $1000-1500 easy
