Cast Iron Drafting Table
« on: October 20, 2014, 12:56:20 pm »
I'm thinking of selling this old drafting table I have... any thoughts on value or anything else? Everything seems original to me. Looks like many manufacturers (F. Weber Co., Keuffel & Esser, Stacor) have made pieces with similar base in the early to mid 1900's. The table sizes and screw positions on the base seem to vary. Not too many seem to come with casters like this one.

Hello and welcome;
I actually tried to buy a similar piece at a local auction a couple of months ago. I went up to $150, and it sold for the next bid. In a retail shop I would imagine the price would be twice or three times that.
(The work surface on yours would make a real statement in the right setting. :))

Hi and thanks for your answer.

Similar seem to be listed on eBay and other places for anything between $200 to $1200 or more (ridiculous if you ask me). It's going on eBay soon, guess we'll know then.
