Using the information from your link I would think it was produced in 1910. Maybe I'm reading it wrong?

I concur sounds like a 48K 1910 made in Kilbowie Scotland hence the K suffix.   nice machines anyone who says Singer sewing machines are only useful as a sea anchor really does not appreciate fine engineering....

Totally agree Wilhenri.  I know we would have gone around in the buff had it not been for mom and her Singer machine!  :)

Maybe I will put my collection of Moldacot sewing machines on here one day..... If you can get your hands on the book, The First Conglomerate, it tell the story of Isaac Merritt Singer bit of an old rogue and he stole the whole idea of the sewing machine from Elias Howe and the resulting battles and court actions eventually killed Howe.

A Victorian pocket/hand size sewing machine that would clamp onto a table.  They were way ahead of the game!  Worth quite a bit....very collectible!
