So you think the table had a wicker top? Wish I could figure out exactly what kind of table this is.

I worded that incorrectly....what I wanted to say was... I wish I knew what was originally on the top of the table so I could find one similar to this one.

Unfortunately, no, he doesn't know. His father passed away and his mother remarried in the 60's and his step-father brought the table, couch, chair and settee, along with other items, from his home. His step-father's items could have belonged to HIS mother, I don't know and I don't think he knows either. It's a mystery. LOL

I believe the table originally had another top on it that got ruined somehow.  It was removed.  The base of the piece was salvaged and a marble top was added.  Note all the screws/nails in the corner.  Don't believe this was ever showing (would hope not) and don't see areas for glass insets or wicker/caning.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!
