They look Middle Eastern to me. Turkish, Pakistani or possibly North African such as Moroccan. I am not an expert. It is just what I have found in the past. Where did you find them?

Thanks for your reply. My husband found them at an antique store. A Valentine's day gift for me. ❤️

It is really hard to identify items like these. Copper is mined and used all over the world and has been for centuries. I can tell you that they are not early American because the pieces were not decorative back then and would not show up in a set. Hopefully someone here will know more than I do. They are very nice pieces and I would not polish them.  If you are a cook you know that copper is the best for certain things like beating meringue  or whipped cream. Are they lined on the inside?

That was sweet of him !!  Nice bowls and copper is pretty hot with some collectors and decorators !!  Is there a pattern ??  Can you take a closer pic of the pattern on the bowl set ??  The bowl with a lid does not go with the set !!  And could be totally different from the other three !!  A pic of the bottom of one of the bowls would be helpful too !!
I am thinking the same as Frogpatch,,about origin !!

Here are more pics. Also there's no lid, that one was upside down.
Good thing you mentioned not to polish them bc I thought about it. 😳
