Lion head octagon table

This is a piece that I had picked up from an estate sale about 10 years back, the style was unknown and I cannot find any markings anywhere... The carvings are quite intricate and the feet are brass clawfeet.

If anyone would know the time era, style & what it's worth it would be great

Sorry,  got sidetracked !!  Are there screws or bolts  in the construction on the underside ??

Oh no worries at all! It's hard to tell but they may be bolts with a flathead instead of a philips...

Ok !!  I am going to get Frogpatch to look at it too,,but I think your table is one of the imports from the Phillipines !!  The carvings all appear to be machine made,, mix of styles !! And looks like Phillipine mahogany not that the wood makes a great difference since much of it is used here too !!

Thank you Mart, I appreciate the help... From what my mom had told me before is when she bought it from an antique shop over 15 years ago, it was noted to of been an 18th to 19th century piece.

Was your mother well acquainted with antique furniture ??  Are you in the U.S. ??

She was pretty knowledgeable but not very... Yes I'm in California and have lived her my whole life... I have another piece that is wrapped up in plastic that I will post up a little later of a very old Monterey Cabinet that's pretty ornate

I am leaning towards what Mart is saying. It is way over done for any Victorian American or European. It does not seem to have much age to it either. I would say somewhere in the Philippines or Malaysia or that part of the world somewhere. I am confused. Did you buy it at an estate sale or did your mother buy it from an antique store? You seem to have indicated two different scenarios or am I misreading something?

Yes clarify please,, if your Mother bought it from shop,, some of them will tell you anything to make a sale if they think you do not know what the differences are !!   Pretty sure the table is 20th century !!

My apologies I did get this piece mixed up with another that was from an estate sale... She did pick this up at an antique store... She had paid $700 for it at the time.
