Oh my, my,  ;D ;D …. a drop-front “secretary” bureau ….. is my first guess as to what I would call it.

And my second wild guess would be …. pre-1850 construction …. just to get the conversation “heated” up.

Beautiful piece with its .... “single board” …. breadboard edge “drop front”, … hand-cut “dove-tail” drawers ….. and original hardware.

How about a full “side view” picture of it … that shows a partial “view” of the front …. so that one can see that “top” shelf.
