Help with the age of this painting

Hi guys.
I'm a sucker for anything with an Indian head on it. Just bought this painting. It measures 15x18".
I really need help with how old it is. My guess is that it's probably from the 1920s-1940s made as a tourist piece or something.

What are your guys' thoughts?
It definitely looks age authentic to me, but I'm no expert on fakes and stuff.
Besides quite a few small holes (which adds to the character to me) I really love it.

Looks like it was done on bark cloth so that would date it to 1930`s to 50`s !!  Couldn`t see all the pics just first two !!  Still working on my computer !!

It looks like regular painting canvas to me, just really old.
But I'm not an expert!

Bark cloth is a rough fabric used for curtains back then !!  Looks too rough to be canvas but hard to tell in pics !! Pretty sure thats what it is !!  Was not uncommon to find paintings by amateurs done on odd things !! Money was scarce during that time and people used what they had !! And as you can see,, they created their own artwork !! Your painting could have been hung in a young boys room !! Neat find from days past !!

There are some very closeup pics that show the texture of the canvas and the paint.

Yes I can now !!  You could be right !!  Looks more like canvas in those pics !!  Perhaps the first pics were just a higher resolution !!

So as far as age goes, do you still think 1940s era?

Just from the tacks and overall look thats about what I would guess !!  But as with anything old you can give or take a few years either way !!
