I have bought it in the UK up north, it was advertised on a local website.
Would make sens to find something like this here in the UK because of the Indian heritage.
This is how it was described.

'' 16th century Sacrificial Bell from Tibet , the chain is very long (55 inches) and heavy 3 kg, it is green of colour, the bell very small in comparison to the chain (each link has embossed mark) I have attached  photos, It was given to me many years ago by my Uncle Timothy Web who i believe was given  it after wining a fight (he boxed) and the chap didn't have the money he owed him so Timmy settled on the old bell (This was in the car park regularly at a pub in Wheathampstead).  I did pop into Bonhams in Cambridge quite a few years ago and was told it,s Tibetan and it probably dated from 16th century) I have owned it for 30 plus years and Tim for 80 before me.  The length of the chain is 88 inches long and the width of the bell is just over 4" and 5" high , it is extremely heavy.  ''

It said "each link in the chain is marked"  can you find the chain mark ??  I think its from India too but not as old as was stated !!  Just a feeling,, no proof !!

No Mart, no marks to be seen, that was the first thing I was looking for.
I bought it because it felt good and he didn't as a Hollywood price.
To me it feels like it must be 17th century and yes I also believe its Indian.
Only problem is that I can not find a similar early example, I can only find later ones and are decorated and dont have a chain.

NOTE:  Got rid of the duplicates for you - thanks for the heads up!

Does the chain on the middle bell resemble yours?

Not sure how you can tell by feel if a bell is 17th century or 20th century !! They are still made the same way in that part of the world !!   That's why I do not count the sellers Bonhams story !! Now he may have walked in and told them his theory about a Tibetan Temple bell,,but they did not date this one by looking at it !! But that's just my opinion !!

I happen to have one very similar. I would agree with the Tibet answer. I was told mine was from Tibet.

Hi mart, I've been doing a large fund raiser for families suffering from domestic violence. What a job. Hopefully will help some people. I always come back. :-) I left two topics in the talk section. I went with your advice. 😉 Hope all is well in Texas. I've been too busy.
