Jacon4, the last one (with my hubby's initials) is my favorite so far!

These pieces are so beautifully done.  Their style isn't dated and can transition well with any decorating theme.

LOL, I hear you KC, the last one is the Miriam Cook hadley chest and it sold for a cool 180K, actually a pretty good price all things considered.

Where is this famous sideboard we have been hearing about?

Didn't want to hijack your thread but here is a picture of it.  Needed a long/wide sideboard and would have preferred one from late 1800's like my 19th C French Buffet a deux Corps but couldn't find one with same carving details/style and I have looked for over 9 years.  I also didn't want to spend an arm/leg.  So had to go with French and complimentary!

My Buffet a deux Corp.  Sorry should have cleaned it off but going through tons of pieces my parents are giving to "clear up their home"!  We are also in upheaval packing everything away and moving furniture because we are having the bottom floor carpet/tile ripped out and installing wood and reclaimed french limestone throughout the house.  (My faithful companion of 14 1/2 years was put down a couple of weeks ago so now is the time to update/remodel.)

Thanks. We've had it for 25 years and still working on it.

The pics are both the same room believe it or not.  Appx 18' ceilings.

The Buffet deux Corps is just under 9' tall.

Mart, I married someone that believes, like me,  we do all the housework just as we were raised.  Same way we raised our kids.  So, an extension ladder,  and my personal Handy Man.

When we bought here 25 yrs ago we were a unique neighborhood surrounded by hundreds of acres of pastureland.  Now it has built up around us with some housing sections but mostly mansions/estates.  That's bad because we lost our tranquility - but good because we had the opportunity to increase our home investment.  So, we have remodeled/updated to keep up and triple our home values.

The average home/mansion around us has several handy men/businesses that do all of their work.  We just laugh and say that we both sleep with the hired help - eachother!  :)  Eventually we will sell and move to the country...again!

Here's someone you may have heard of in the past who's place sold just up the road from us:
http://www.dallasnews.com/lifestyles/headlines/20120711-see-famed-broadcaster-pat-summerall-s-recently-listed-southlake-mansion-featuring-a-private-lake.ece

Friends used to own this property which became a mega mansion development.  A common size "home" (10,000sf+) http://mansion-homes.com/dream/fabulous-colleyville-equestrian-estate/?pg=5

Jacon4 the hubby and I enjoy working together no matter what we are doing and we definitely love a good challenge.  We have friends who are builders (and built lots of these mansions) who have helped us on the big remodeling parts for a fraction of the cost.  We are very blessed.
