For Greenacres - Old Family Photo Little Girl and BIG Dog!

I know how much you like old photographs of people with dogs (however, namely pit bulls) and laughed out loud when I came across this in my hubby's families' photos.  Don't know who it is... the writing on the back is pencil and extremely faded!  Can only make out Johnson, Frye,  blue dress and brown dog!  LOL  (Black & White photo!)

UPDATE:  Hubby said he was told this is his Grandmother!

Thank you KC.  Adorable. Lol, yes it is a brown dog. What's interesting about postcards its's all about content. I love the writing on the cards. To me it's part of the story. For some reason the pit bull postcards or advertisement cards can go for $300. Where some postcards can go for $15.Where did you get it, KC?  I will have to post my new postcard.

This card is from France. Not that expensive because the dog is questionable.

What do you mean by the dog is questionable?  Is it not a Pit?  Adorable picture, both if them!  I love pictures with dogs in them.  Especially of the bullie breeds!

If people question the breed of the dog and are not sure it's exactly what they want they won't bid. They could question it's a boxer. Buyers are very specific. A good card can be about $150. An exceptional card $300 and up. Of course there are cards that can go for $30. I buy what I like.☺ if like it that's what matters.☺

I see what you mean Greenacres!  I buy what I like as well.  If I wouldn't use it in my "decor" then I don't buy.  I don't have room for collections anymore so I am very limeted.  😢

Greenacres, this isn't a postcard.  It is a family photo put on hardboard.  It was in an album at one point because you can see the tape mark where it had come loose.

I got out my super duper magnifying glass and could see the faint embossing of "W H Abbott, 124 Main Street, Little Falls, NY".

That fits the time period for his Great Grandmother who came from that area!  (1870's)

Nice photo. I have been purging. Only the best stays and if I bring in something new it has to be worth it, lol. I have no more room. Postcards can fit. 😉
