Rexall Wooden Pill Bottle
« on: January 26, 2016, 06:07:36 pm »
Hi, recently found this little Rexall wooden pill bottle. Just wondering if anybody here knows when wooden pill bottles would have been used?

Poorold,

This site says it has pill boxes from the 1880 to 1900.

Rexall Drug began in Boston 1902.

Looks like the date of The Proprietary and Patent Medicine Act of Canada is around 1928. That should give you some idea.

Great job Pelady!  You will see these often for Kidney pills (see also Berg's circa 1914), calcium wafers and Wonder Pills from the late 1800's to 1930's!
