1930's CTR National Meat Slicer Value
« on: February 15, 2016, 01:28:19 am »
I am trying to find the possible value of this "CTR National Slicer" Model 55. Serial #34235. It is an electric slicer that is still in great working condition. The only issue with the slicer is that the switch is a little bent but it still works. It also has a Leland motor. The patent # is 1760670

From what research I have done, I have yet to find a similar model to this slicer. I was able to find patent information on it from the patent listed on the slicer. According the the patent it looks like it was made around 1930? I have attached photo's of the slicer and the patent information as well. Does anyone know about old meat slicers?

-thanks sm

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM

Unless they retained that name CTR became International Business Machine Corp. in 1924 better known as IBM !! However for things like this,, unless it is in a condition that can be used,,would be hard to value !!  There is no collector interest that I am aware of !! To sell for use may need to be re-wired to code !!~

http://www.google.com/patents/US1760670

The patent was filed in 1927 but not approved until 1930!!

Deer hunters, etc., who butcher/process their own “kill” are often looking for older meat processing equipment such as your “slicer“. Anyone who make their own “deer jerky” could find a use for it.

New health rules prohibit most older equipment from being used in public places.
