You might want to search Snowy Owls, Grass Owls, etc.

I love it!!!

In my neck of the woods this would sell for $200 - $350 depending on condition!!!

Don't let it go for little!!!
why search for Snowy Owls when we already know that its a Barn Owl...and what sells in your neck of the woods...is a different kettle of fish..from what sells over here.... ;D...now get back into your cage.... ;D
I make no excuses,and no apologies....but i like a good Malt,

Who verified it is a barn owl.  Unusual to have them white!  And better to research...if it is a more unusual owl...the bigger the $$$

Look for H. T. Shopland of Torquay, 1870  on antique-taxidermy.com

http://www.antique-taxidermy.com/page/index.asp?pageCatID=46

Might want to contact folks - says they buy pre 1947l!!!!!  So you can get a value from them as well

Also search H. F. Shopland!!!!!

The label is later than 1870, KC. I think it's the son, who was there later 19th / early 20th

Thanks all for the information.

I would like it to go to a taxidermist/enthusiast ideally so that the small feather loss can be properly attended to.

I have contacted a few taxidermists/collectors however have had no reply. I'm going to give it a week and then just put it on ebay. I cannot let it just fall apart, it's too nice.

If anyone has any other suggestions of collectors or taxidermists (that will reply!), I would much appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Clint
