Believed to be British made puppet show dolls from the 1940s
Comes from a reliable source and the story goes that these were made during World War Two to entertain the group of children in the bunkers.
I have doubts about this as they look much older to me, but I'm not a expert
Need second opinion.
Faces are made out of what looks like plaster.
Carved wooden feet and hands (very poorly done)
inside frame is wood block and the arms and legs are mix of wood/cane and iron wire.
Clothes / used material looks from the correct time period.
Some puppets have a extra iron wire so you can move their hands or head.
all are around the 15cm high
Looks like its made by the same person.
need second opinion.
Can somebody date it from the clothing style used??? Or did somebody seen similar ones???
To me they look much older..
every info is welcome
Thank You
