I listened again and two of  the verses sound familiar but still no clue !!  Sorry !!  What does the music box look like ??

Part of this song reminds me of a Simon & Garfunkal song. Could the tune be slow or some of the notes off?  This is a good resource for music box tunes:

It looks like this. It's one of those fiber optic light up synthetic flower things. :)

I was wracking my brain for an older song but seeing that it is a modern item I agree with the others on S&G song.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

You crack me up!  The song was written in 1913 by Daniel Alomía Robles. Recorded by Simon & Garfunkal (commonly called "If I Could") in 1970 - 46 years ago. LOL  :D.

I should have explained that the "older song" I was searching for was by Brahms, Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach...
