I sent an email to the Red Wing Collectors on this.
My email read...
Could you please tell me the approximate value of a
Red Wing Union Stoneware 5 gallon crock?
12.5" diameter X 14" high
It's in perfect condition.
The image is one from the internet, not ours.
Our birch leaves are nice and bright, not faded.
Also, the oval logo is very clear.
No markings at all on bottom.
Their answer:
You have a 5 gallon birch leaf crock with a ski oval. That is the earliest oval used and most sought after by collectors. I was able to find a previous question to help you learn more.
With a url directing me to this answer on their forum from 2007...
Answer: The price of zinc glazed Red Wing crocks is down at this time. I am sure the markets are having effects not only on stoneware, but a number of other collectibles. At the present time, your Red Wing birch leaf crock with ski oval would have a value in the range of $75 to $125. I think if you wait until the markets improve (1 to 2 years) you will see the prices come back. Al Kohlman
That's where I snagged the photo.
Hahaha
So my question is................. ...............
Does anybody know a recent value?
